An old tradition made new

Westmount, Montreal, Quebec

A very known couple in Montreal commissioned to create a front garden for their recently renovated beautiful historical townhouse, built in 1895 and named the Elite Row Houses on Elm Avenue.

I suggested a traditional classical style, elegance and harmony. Four perfectly tightly clipped square boxwoods, mirror each other along the central line. Simple white roses were planted in the center of each box. The color of the geometrically shaped evergreens enhance the red of the Scottish stone in compliment to the historical house.

Several years later I was asked to create a modern approach to the garden using the same plantation. I added a modern twist to the look by adding stainless steel boxes. I used a designer Italian planter and modern flower arrangement to create a bold unique look. I added  the black polished stones around to contrast the shiny metal of the planters.

I recommend my signature garden to homeowners that are looking for low maintenance, a lawn hassle free option. The four-season evergreens tolerate all weather conditions and create a perfect look all year around.
